Tiffin University, in partnership with Owens Community College, will offer a Bachelor of Criminal Justice Degree in Justice Administration beginning fall semester 2012.
TU’s Bachelor of Criminal Justice program will provide students with the skills necessary to analyze threats to the communication infrastructure, and to assess the role of terrorism in world politics, among other skills. The program brings together working professionals from the criminal justice system. The distinguished faculty has proven academic and professional careers. Area residents as well as business professionals are invited to learn about the latest innovative technology within the welding industry as Owens Community College unveils new state-of-the-art VRTEX 360, a virtual reality arc welding training system from Lincoln Electric, during an Open House Demonstration of Virtual Welding event July 18. Twenty-three Owens Community College student-athletes have received Academic All-Conference honors by the Ohio Community College Athletic Conference (OCCAC) in recognition of their scholarly achievements for the 2011-12 academic year.
“Owens Community College is extremely proud to honor and recognize these student-athletes for exhibiting academic excellence within the classroom,” said Rudy Yovich, Owens Director of Athletics.
Selection criterion for the honored recipients is based upon achieving a minimum 3.30 cumulative grade point average.

Area youth will have the opportunity to learn about the fundamentals of basketball and life lessons as basketball stars Todd Mitchell and Jim Jackson host their annual basketball camp at Owens Community College, July 23-26. This marks the fifth year that the annual basketball camp is being held at Owens Community College.

Dr. Mike Bower officially began his appointment as the sixth President and Chief Executive Officer in the 47-year history of Owens Community College July 1.
